- Making Downtown once again healthy – a place to shop, work, play and live, as shown by the Market on Main and Riverbank Music Series.
- Elimination of blight and physical decline; have you noticed the flowers and landscape changes in the Downtown area?
- Enhancing and beautifying public spaces in Downtown, evidenced by Stagecoach and Sesquicentennial Parks.
- Assuring reasonable parking service to Downtown business has been demonstrated by the St. James Circle parking area behind the Village Hall.
- Creating outdoor gathering places for regular and special activities, enjoyed by Irving residents and visitors during many events in the summer and winter
- Implementing vintage lighting and signage throughout Downtown and park.
